Solution:

Cuboid  rectangular base    length = l ,  base = b

height = h

Total surface area = 2(lb + lh + bh)  = 50

=> lb + lh + bh = 25   Eq1

Lateral surface area = 2(l + b) h = 30

=> (l + b)h = 15

=> lh + bh = 15        Eq2

Eq1  - Eq2

=>  lb + lh + bh - (lh + bh) = 25 - 15

=> lb  = 10

Base area = lb

=> Base area = 10 sq m
