The full name of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. He was born on October 15, 1931 in Rameswaram. He studied at the St. Joseph's College in Tiruchirappalli. He was a professor, author and an aerospace scientist. He worked as a science administrator at the Defence Research and Development Organisation and the Indian Space Research Organisation.
