50 cc of 0.1 M copper sulphate is diluted to 100 cc by adding water. What is the new molarity of the solution

Answer:

M1.V1=M2.V2

50 x 0.1 = M2 x 100

M2= 5/100 = 0.05 M

or simply volume has been increased to double and hence concentration reduces to half i.e. 0.05 M.
