in 50 kg alloy , 60% contain lead
e.g 50 × 60/100 =30 kg contain lead
and rest (50-30) =20 kg contain tin .

let x kg lead melted into it .

then,
75% of lead ={ (30+x )/(50+x) } × 100

75/100 = (30 + x )/(50 + x )

3/4 =(30 + x)/(50 + x)

150 + 3x = 120 + 4x

30 =x

hence,
30 kg extra lead melted into it then alloy contains 75% of lead .
