Answer:

HCl+NaOH----------->NaCl+H2O

Concentration of HCl=0.1M

Concentration of NaOH=0.2M

So 50 ml.of 0.1M HCl will react with 25 ml.of 0.2M NaOH.

The resulting solution will contain 25 ml.of 0.2 M NaOH Equivalent in the total 100 ml.of resulting mixture.

25 ml.of 0.2 M solution contains

=25 x 0.2= 5 m.moles

1000 ml.of this solution will contain

=5 x 1000/100=5 x10

=50 m.moles=0.05M

So pOH of the solution is pOH= - log(0.05)=1.3019.

So pH=14–1.3010=12.6990
