`\textbf{Hyberdisation}`

The process of mixing of orbitals with the different energy levels and shapes of the orbitals is called hyberdisation.

`\textbf{1. Hyberdisation of CH4}`

Valence electrons of C = 4

Valence electrons of H = 1

Given atoms of H = 4

Using formula :- ½ (V + M - C + A)
= ½ (4 + 4)
= 8

Hyberdisation of CH4 = Sp³

→ {structures are in attachment.}

`\textbf{2. Hyberdisation of SF4}`

Valence electrons of S = 6

Atoms of of F = 4

Using formula we get :- ½ (6 + 4)
= 5

Hyberdisation of SF4 = Sp³d

`\textbf{3. Hyberdisation of ICl²-}`

Valence electrons of I = 7

Atoms of Cl = 2

Using formula we get = ½ (7 + 2 + 1)
= 5

Hyberdisation of ICl-² = Sp³

see the following hybridization of ch4
c is the central atom which has four different valency electrons
four different atoms are bonded by four single bonds.

hybridization of sf4

four different atoms of f and has six different Valence Electrons

hybridization of ICI2

CI ATOMS ARE 2

number of valencies of electrons is 7 of I
