⏺⏺ PHYLUM ECHINODERMATA

➡ ECHINO= SPINY. DERMA= SKINNED

➡ The organisms of this phylum are known mainly due to the prrsence of ENDOSKELETON made of calcareous ossicles..

➡ All organisms belonging to this phyla are marine with the organ system level of organisation.

➡ The one of the main characters is that,,

in adults i.e, adult echinoderms the body is radially symmetrical

, whereas in larval echinoderms body is bilaterally symmetrical..

➡ as above mentioned, about larva, hence the development is not direct, i.e, they pass through larval stage..(or) free swimming larva

➡ Another most important character of this phyla is the presence of WATER VASCULAR SYSTEM.. which helps in the LOCOMOTION, transportation of food and respiratory gases..

➡ No excretory system(particular)

➡ Fertilisation is usually external
