Let SP of 1 article is Rs. 1
SP of 90 articles is Rs. 90
CP of 1 article is Rs. x
CP of 90 articles is Rs. 90x
According to question,
Gain = SP - CP
9 = 90 - 90x
90x = 90 - 9
90x = 81
x = 81/90
x = 9/10
CP of 90 articles = 9/10 ×90
CP of 90 articles = 81
SP of 90 articles = Rs. 90
∴ gain% = 9/81 ×100
= 11.11%

jainaditya0411: thanks but question asks profit%
jainaditya0411: add that to answer and I will right away mark you brainliest

Answer:

11.11%

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the C.P of one article be x.

The C.P of 90 articles = 90 x .

Now S.P of 90 articles = Profit + C.P

                                     = 90 x + Profit .

Profit of 90 articles = S.P of 9 articles .

Let S.P be 100 .

So Profit of 90 articles = 900 .

S.P of 90 articles = 9000

Put in the equation :

9000 = 90 x + 900

= > 90 x = 9000 - 900

= > 90 x = 8100

= > x = 8100/90

= > x = 90

x = C.P of 1 article .

Now C.P of 90 articles = 90 x = 90 . 90 = 8100

Profit = 9000 - 8100

         = 900

Profit% = profit/C.P × 100

            = 900 / 8100 × 100

            = 100/9 %

            = 11.1111%

This is the profit percentage.
