Why is the difference between the duration of day and night hardly felt at Kanyakumari but not so in Kashmir?​

There is a great difference between duration of day and night as it goes farther from equator.. kanyakumari is close to equator as compare to Kashmir so duration of day and night is hardly feel at kanyakumari but not in Kashmir..
