Step-by-step explanation:

let the no of maths likers be 3x

let the no of science likers be 2x

1)the number of students who like maths are 3x+ 20

so, 3x+20+2x=50

5x+20=50

5x=50-20

5x=30

x=30/5=6

6×3+20= no of maths likers

=48 are maths likers

2)as only 2 students are left, they are the students who like only maths
