weight of 1 oxygen atom is 16 grams

so weight of 2 oxygen atoms must be 32 grams

by law of definite propotion

1 mole =32 grams of oxygen

x moles = 8 grams

I. e., 32x=8

so therefore x=1/4 which is 0.25
