Given:

The mass percent of 1st solution = 30 %

The mass percent of 2nd solution = 25 %

The mass of 1st solution = 500 gm

The mass of 2nd solution = 400 gm

To Find:

The mass percent of the resulting solution.

Calculation:

- The mass of solute in the resulting solution = 30 % of 500 + 25 % of 400

⇒ w = (30/100) × 500 + (25/100) × 400

⇒ w = 150 + 100

⇒ w = 250 gm

- The total mass of resulting solution = 500 + 400

⇒ W = 900 gm

- The mass percent of the resulting solution = (250/900) × 100

⇒ Mass % = 27.78 %

- So, the mass percent of the resulting solution is 27.78 %
