Answer:

maybe 700 I guess.

Explanation:

what I feel is that the chemical formula is 2 H2 + O2 → 2 H2O

so taking 500 as 2 H2 that the value of O2 reacted will be half of original value that is 200

Answer:

55.55 L

Explanation:

Reaction invovled-

2H2 + O2→ 2H2O

1 volume of O2 reacts with H2 = 2 volume

Therefore,

400 L of O2 will react with H2 = 800 L

But we have only 500 litre H2. Thus, H2 is the limiting reagent.

2 volume of H2 produce 2 volume of H2O

500L H2 will produce 500L of H2O

By mole concept,

Mass of 22.4L of H2 at STP

= molecular mass in grams

= 2 g

Mass of 500L of H2 at STP

= (2/22.4) x 500

= 44.642 g

Thus, Mass of H2O produced is 44.642 g

Or

At STP, 18 g H2O = 22.4 L

So, 44.642 g H2O = (22.4/18) x 44.642

 = 55.55 L
