Mass of solute

----------------------- ×100

Mass of solution

= 500/2000+500

=500/2500

= 1/5

= 0.2

Concentration of solution=Mass of solute/Mass of solution×100

Here,

Mass of solute=500g=0.5kg

Mass of solution=(2+0.5)kg=2.5kg

0.5/2.5×100

0.2×100=20%

Thus concentration of the solution is 20%
