Answer: active mass of caco3 is 1

Active mass of cao is 1

But active mass of co2 is 0.25/22.4

Explanation:

Active mass of solids is taken as unity

For co2 -at starting 0.5 mole is present by stoichiometry we know half mole will dissociate to form half mole of co2 but dissociation is only 50% so .25 moles will be formed

And active mass is no of moles per litre(molarity)
