Hello,

P = V²/R
=> E/t = V²/R
=> V² = (R × E)/t
Where, here
E is Heat energy = 50 J
t is time = 1 s
V is Potential Difference = x
R is Resistance = 2 ohm

Substituting values in formula, we get,
V²= (R × E)/t
=> x² = (2 × 50)/1
=> x² = 100
Therefore x = V = 10 volts.
Therefore Potential Difference is 10 volts.
