50ml of H2 takes 20 minutes to diffuse out of a vessel. how long will 40ml of O2 take to diffuse out from the same vessel under similar conditions?

rH2  = 50 / 20 = 2.5

rO2  =  40 / t

rH2 / rO2 = 2.5 / (40/t) = √(MO2 / MH2) = √(32/2) = 4

2.5 t = 160

t = 64 min.
