if 50 swimsuits cost Rs. 4000,

then one swimsuit will cost= 4000/50= Rs. 80

so if one swimsuit costs 80,

similarly, 14 such swimsuits would cost= 80* 14= Rs. 1120

see first
(i) swim suits:price::swim suit:price
50:rs4000::14:x. let missing be x
product of extremes = products of means
50×x. = 4000×14
x = 56000÷50
x = 1120 Answer

Sarthak123com: this is in algebaric way
Sarthak123com: different and better from unitary method
Sarthak123com: it is solved with ratio

subeeryashriya04: yes, I agree but I thought that doing it with unitary method is easier. your method is also another way of solving the same problem.
