52. Calculate the area of the figure given alongside
Angles A, B, C, D, E and F are right angles as
indicated. All measurements are in centimetres​

Divide it into two rectangles

1. ABCG

( G is point we get extending CD to line AF )

AB is 5 + 2 = 7

BC = 3

Area = 3 × 7 = 21 cm2

2. FEDG

FE = 5

GF = 5 - 3 = 2

Area = 5× 2 =10 cm2

So total area

 = 31 \:  {cm}^{2}
