  • Male and female cones are borne on the same tree.

  • Pinus is a gymnosperm , this means seeds are naked of this plant.

  • Ovules are not enclosed in ovary

  • There is no double fertilization in gymnosperms unlike angiosperms.

Here is your answer :-

pinus present only in male and female cones.

Female cones have a seed in their open scales that becomes a new tree when it gets pollen from a male cone.

Male cones are a lot smaller than female cones and their scales aren't as open.
