54x²-96y²

96 is not a perfect square, but still we can use the identity a²-b²=(a+b)(a-b)

54x²-96y²

(8x)²-96y²

{8x-√96×y)(8x+√96×y)}

I verified with my math teachers, and it's correct to write it like this.

it's because: √96×√96 = 96

it applies for all

another example

√4×√4=4

as,

√4 = 2

hence, √4×√4 = 2×2 = 4

hope it helps

have a great day
