Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN :

Total value of the three prizes = ₹ 1500

Let the value of the 1st prize = x

2nd prize = 5x/6

3rd prize = 4/5 × ( 5x/6 ) = 2x/3

x + 5x/6 + 2x/3 = 1500

[6x + 5x + 4x]/6 = 1500 [LCM = 6]

15x/6 = 1500

15 x = 1500 × 6

15x = 9000

x = 9000/15

x = 600

Value of 1st prize = x = ₹ 600

Value of 2nd prize = 5x/6 = (5 x 600)/6 = 5× 100= ₹ 500

3rd prize = 2x/3 =( 2 × 600)/3 =  2 × 200 = 400

Hence , the value of 1st prize, 2nd prize  & 3rd prize is ₹ 600, ₹ 500 & ₹ 400
