let's assume 1 man doing 1 unit of work for 1 Day so 550 men would do a total of 550 units a day so far 100 days it will be 55000 units... [1]

so 10 days work completed means 550 units each day * 10 days = 5500 units completed in 10 days by 550 men.... [2]

so 55000-5500 = 49500 units left over after 10 days.... [3]

now 50 more men joins assuming the same rate of work by each of the like the 550 so now the total men will be 550+50 = 600 men doin 600 units/day....[4]

so the total days left will be 49500 units/600 units a day = 82.5 dayz to complete the whole work..........
