Answer:

15(x - y) + 22(x + y) = 5, 40x - y + 55x + y = 13 15(x + y) + 22(x - y) = 5(x - y)(x + y).(1) 40(x + y) + 55(x - y) = 13(x - y)(x + y)...(2)

Answer:

Hey Mate....

55x+22y=77  => 5x+3y=7               (By dividing both sides by 11)    (I)

22x+55y=33  => 2x+5y=3               (By dividing both sides by 11)    (II)

Multiply (I) by 2

=> 10x+6y=14                              _____(III)

Multiply (II) by 5

=> 10x+25y=15                           ______(IV)

Subtract (iii) from (iv)

     10x+25y=15

   -

     10x+6y  =14

_______________

            19y = 1

=> y = 1/19

Substitute y=1/19 in (I)

=> 5x+3(1/19) = 7

=> 5x+3/19 = 7

=> 5x = 7-3/19

=> 5x = 130/7

=> x = 130 / (7 * 5)

=> x = 26/7

So... (x,y) = (26/7, 1/19)

Hope it helps u!!!
