CaO + 2HNO₃ ----> Ca(NO₃)₂ + H₂O
Molar Mass:
CaO = (40+16) g = 56 g
2HNO₃ = 2*(1+14+48) g = 126 g
Ca(NO₃)₂ = 40+2*(14+48) g = 164 g
H₂O = (2+16) g = 18 g
This means 126 g of Nitric Acid has been taken to produce 164 g of Calcium Nitrate.
So, 63 g of Nitric Acid will produce = (164/126)*63 g of Calcium Nitrate
= 82 g of Calcium Nitrate
I hope this helps.
