Let the number of girls be x in the class

So, According to question number of boys = x +6 [As here are 6 more boys than girls}

Total students = x + x +6 = 2x +6

Now,

56% of students = Number of boys

 \frac{56}{100} \times (2x +6) = x + 6  \\ \\ 0.56 \times 2(x+3) = x + 6 \\ \\ 1.12x + 3.36 = x + 6 \\ \\ 0.12x = 2.64 \\ \\ 12x = 264 \\ \\ x = 22<br /> \\ \\  \text{Number of  students } = 2x + 6   = 2\times22 + 6 = 50
