Answer :-

Let us assume that,

  • Total chairs bought = 9x
  • Total tables bought = 8x .
  • MP of a chair = Rs.500 .
  • MP of a table = Rs.700 .

so,

→ Discount on a chair = (500 * 20)/100 = Rs.100

→ Discount on a table = (700 * 25)/100 = Rs.175 .

then,

→ Total discount = Rs.4600

→ 9x *100 + 8x * 175 = 4600

→ 900x + 1400x = 4600

→ 2300x = 4600

→ x = 2 .

therefore,

→ Total chairs veer bought = 9 * 2 = 18 chairs .

hence,

→ Total SP of 18 chairs = 18 * (500 * 80/100) = Rs.7200 (Ans.)
