Given :

A dome of structure Cone

The diameter of dome = d = 15 cm

The slant height of dome = l = 20 cm

To Find :

The Surface area of dome

Solution :

As The structure of dome is cone

Total surface area of cone = π × r × l + π × r²

where r = radius of dome

          l = slant height of dome

∵  diameter of dome = d = 15 cm

  radius = r = \dfrac{d}{2}

                  r = \dfrac{15 cm}{2} = 7.5 cm

So,Total surface area of conical dome = π × r × l + π × r²

                                                         = 3.14 × 7.5 cm × 20 cm + 3.14 × (7.5 cm)²

                                                         = 471 cm² + 176.625 cm²

                                                        = 647.625 cm²

Hence, Total surface area of conical dome is 647.625 cm²  Answer
