We have to find the value of coefficient of friction means value of /mu

Mass of block=10 kg

a=2m/s^2

g=9.8m/s^2

External force applied=40 N

Friction force=\mu mg

Friction force =\mu\times 10\times 9.8=98\mu

When a particle moving with acceleration it means external force applied os greater than the friction force

Net force =External force= friction force

m\times a=40-98\mu

2\times 10=40-98\mu

98\mu=40-20=20

\mu=\frac{20}{98}=\frac{10}{49}=0.20

Hence, coefficient of friction =0.20
