Solve the equation (Not using graphical method)
4x - 5y + 16 = 0
2x + y- 6=0​

4x - 5y = -16 ........(1)

2x + y = 6............(2)

From equation two, make y subject of the formula to get the third equation.

Y = 6 - 2x

Now put equation 3 into equation 1

4x - 5(6 -2x) = -16

4x - 30 + 10x = -16

14x = 14

X= 1

Now put value of x into equation 3

Y = 6 - 2x

Y=4
