quide her daughter to plant the mango tree
and orange tree alternatively at same
distance. If the distance between the two
mango trees (consecutive) is 513 m.
(i) Find the smallest distance between the
mango tree and orange tree.​

mango........................ orange....................mango

so if from one mango to other is 513 m, then we should divide 513 by 2 as the trees are equidistant, the solution is:

513 ÷ 2 = 256.5 m
