5kgs of ice at -100

C is heated to melt it into water at 00

C, then additional heat is

added to vaporize the water into steam. The saturated vapor exits at 1000

C. Calculate the

different enthalpy values involved in the process.

Following values have been given:

Specific heat of ice: 2.05 kJ/kg0

C

Specific heat of water: 4.182 kJ/kg0

C

Latent heat of fusion: 332.2 kJ/kg

Latent heat of vaporization: 2257.06 kJ/kg.

Answer:

a) Thallophyta plants have soft and fibre-like body.

The most primitive form of cryptogram or non-flowering plants is the algal form or Thallophytes which got their name from thallus-like body.

b) Bryophytes is called the 'amphibian' of the plant kingdom.

They are know as amphibians because they can survive in both and and water, basically a place with high moisture. They require water for fertilization.

c) In pteridophytes, asexual reproduction occurs by formation and sexual reproduction occurs by spore formation.

They are vascular cryptograms which reproduce by spore formation which is formed inside the sporophylls like in tree and water ferns.

d. Male and female flowers of gymnosperms are borne on different sporophylls of the same plant.

They reproduce by spores which is formed inside the sporangia in flap-leaf like structures which forms the cones. Sometimes the male and female are in the same plants, and sometimes they are in different plants.

And we are done !
