The complete name of Gandhiji was ‘Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’ a.k.a ‘M.K. Gandhi’
Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October, 1869 at Porbandar in Gujrat State of India.
Gandhiji’s father’s name was ‘Karamchand Uttamchand Gandhi’ & Mother was ‘PutliBai Gandhi’
Gandhiji’s wife was ‘Kasturba Gandhi’ also know as ‘Ba’.
Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi were married at a very young age, Gandhiji were 13 years old and kasturba was 14 years old.
Gandhiji and Kasturba had four sons – Harilal, Manilal, Ramdas and Devdas.
The Title of ‘Mahatma’ was given to Gandhiji by Rabindranath Tagore at Shantiniketan Ashram.

Gandhiji completed his studies in Law from London.
After returning from London, at the age of 23 he went to south Africa to practice law there. He was hired as a lawyer for Abdullah’s cousin.
