5m - 3n = 19 ...(1)

m - 6n = (-17)...(2)

m = -17 + 6n

m = 6n - 17 ...(3)

put the value m in equation (1)

5m - 3n = 19

5(6n - 17) - 3n = 19

30n - 85 - 3n = 19

27n - 85 = 19

27n = 19 + 85

27n = 104

n = 104/27

put the value of n in equation in (3)

m = 6n - 17

m = 6(104/27) - 17

m = 2(104/ 9) - 17

m = 208/9 - 17

m = 208 - 153 / 9

m = 55/ 9

Hence solution

m = 104/27 , n = 55/9
