5p+2/8-2p=7/6
6(5p+2)=7(8-2p)
30p+12=56-14p
30p+14p=56-12
44p=44
p=44/44
p=11

have a great day

MrEvilTOxiCx: 3p+2/8=7/6
MrEvilTOxiCx: 3p=7/6-2/8
MrEvilTOxiCx: 3p=11/12
MrEvilTOxiCx: 3p=11/36
MrEvilTOxiCx: you should try reduce the coeficient (number infront of unknown,in this case is P) before attempting to do anything in equations like these.
MrEvilTOxiCx: now have a good day!!

Answer:

p=\frac{22}{72}

Step-by-step explanation:

5p+\frac{2}{8}-2p=\frac{7}{6}

3p=\frac{7}{6} -\frac{2}{8}

3p=\frac{28-6}{24}

3p=\frac{22}{24}

p=\frac{22}{24}*\frac{1}{3}

p=\frac{22}{72}
