Sol:

Let the price of one pencil be x and cost of one pen be y.

5x+7y=50 ...........(ı)

X=50-7y/5

7x+5y=46 ................(ıı)

On putting themail value of x in equation (I),we get

350-49y+25y=230

---24y=120

y=5

On substitute the value of y in eq(ı),we get

X=3

Hence

The cost of pencil is 3 and cost of pen is 5.
