let price of pencil = y
5x+6y=9
3x+2y=5
=> 3x+2y+4=5x+6y
=>2x+4y=4
According to the question 3x+2y=5
Subtract one from both sides
=>=4
from above equations
2x+4y=4=3x+2y-1
=>1x=1
Cost of pen is 1 Rs
So, since
2x+4y=4
We have 2+4y=4
y=1/2 or 0.5
Cost of pencil is 0.50 Rs
let price of pencil = y
5x+6y=9
3x+2y=5
=> 3x+2y+4=5x+6y
=>2x+4y=4
According to the question 3x+2y=5
