In this Question , We have provided with the height of tower 100 m ( figure) . Let's Go through concept :

When body move Upwards the acceleration due to gravity is Positive and when it move downward acceleration due to gravity is negative .

Acceleration of A with respect to B is equal to V_AB and it can be also written as

V_A - V_B

=> A = +40 m/s

B = -20 m/s

(+40) - (-20)

= 40 + 20

= 60 m/s^2
