5x²+32x+24 :-

So this is a quadratic equation as it has the highest power 2 and it is in the quadratic standard form

ax² + bx + x where ,

( a= coefficient of x² , b= coefficient of x , c = constant )

So to solve a quadratic equation there are 3 steps

  1. Factorization method
  2. Perfect square method
  3. Quadratic formula method

By Quadraticformula,

So in quadratic formula we use ,

 \frac{ - b +  -  \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}

where a= coefficient of x² , b= coefficient of x , c = constant

5 {x}^{2}  + 32x + 24

comparing it with ax² + bx + x

we get , a= 5 , b= 32 , c = 24

Putting values on the equation we get,

 \frac{ - 32 +  -  \sqrt{ {32}^{2} - 4(5)(24) } }{2(5)}

 \frac{ - 32 +  -  \sqrt{1024 - 480} }{10}

so taking 1 negative and 1 positive

 \frac{ - 32 + 4 \sqrt{34} }{10}

and

 \frac{ - 32 - 4 \sqrt{34} }{10}

So roots are

 \frac{ - 32 + 4 \sqrt{34} }{10}

 \frac{ - 32  -  4 \sqrt{34} }{10}
