Given Equation,

 \large{ \sf{5x {}^{2}  - x \:  - 110 = 0}}

On comparison with,

 \sf{ax {}^{2}  \:  +  \: bx \:  +  \: c = 0}

Here, a = 5,b = -1 and c = - 110

Discriminant,D:

  \sf{d = b {}^{2}  -  \: 4ac} \\  \\  \rightarrow \:  \sf{d = ( - 1) {}^{2} - 4(5)( - 110) } \\  \\  \rightarrow \:  \boxed{ \boxed{ \sf{d = 2201}}}

Quadratic Formula

    \huge{\purple{\underline{\boxed{\sf{x =  \frac{ - b \pm \sqrt{d} }{2a}}}}}} \\

Putting the values,we get:

 \sf{x =  \frac{ - ( - 1) \pm \:  \sqrt{2201} }{2(5)} } \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{x =  \frac{1 \pm \:  \sqrt{2201} }{10} } \\  \\  \implies \:   \huge{ \underline{ \boxed{\sf{x =  \frac{1 +  \sqrt{2201} }{10} \:  \: or \:  \:  \frac{1 -  \sqrt{2201} }{10}  }}}}
