x=0.8

5x+2*3-4=6

multiply 2*3, you get 6, now you have

5x+6-4=6

subtract 6 and 4, which is 2, now you have

5x+2=6

   -2   -2

now you subtract 2 from both sides( anything you do to onw side of equation you do to other side) now you have,

5x=4 then you divide 5 on both sides

5x/5x= x   4/5=0.8

x=0.8
