We can solve this by substitution method

5x+2y=14
5x=14-2y
x=(14-2y)/5

10y+2x=30
Substituting the value of x in this equation
10y+2(14-2y)/5=20
10y+(28-4y)/5=20
(50y+28-4y)/5=20
50y+28-4y=20*5
46y+28=100
46y=100-28
46y=72
y=72/46=36/23

x=(14-2y)/5
x=(14-36/23)/5
x=286/115

taannaa: and y = 72/46
wvaish: Sry I made a mistake over there
wvaish: I've edited iyt
taannaa: ya
taannaa: in 2nd last line, 2y will be 2*36/3 isn't it
wvaish: Yeah....I made a mistake again
wvaish: x=(14-72/23)/5
wvaish: x=250/115
wvaish: x=50/23
taannaa: :)
