Given, x + 5y = 4

or, x = 4 - 5y .....(1)

And, 5x + 2y = (-3) .....(2)

Substituting the value of (1) in (2);

5(4-5y)+2y = (-3)

or, 20 - 25y + 2y = (-3)

or, -23y = -23

or, y = 1

And, x = 4 - 5y = 4 - 5 = -1

HOPE THIS COULD HELP!!!
