→ 5x - 3y = 1 and 2x +y = 7

Answer :-

→ x = 2 and y = 3

Explanation :-

we have

→ 5x - 3y = 1 ....eq.(1)

→ 2x +y = 7 ....eq.(2)

→ ea.(2) × 3 + eq.(1)

→ 5x + 6x - 3y +3y = 1 + 21

→ 11x = 22

→ x = 2

put in eq.(2)

→ 2 × 2 + y = 7

→ y = 7 - 4

→ y = 3

hence x = 2 and y = 3

For verification :-

put x = 2 and y = 3 in eq.(2)

→ 2 × 2 + 3 = 7

→ 4+3 = 7

→ 7 = 7

hence verified .
