Answer:

x=4,y=1

Step-by-step explanation:

5 x-3y=17×4

4 x+5y=21×5

20x-12y=68

20x+25y=105

since the above two equation has same x co efficient .use elimination method to get the value.

the after eliminating x we get

-37y=-37

y=1

then put y value in any one equation

we get

5x-3(1)=17

5x=17+3

x=20/5

x=4

hope u got it

Step-by-step explanation:

5x-3y=17........eq1

4x+5y=21...........eq2

multiply eq1 with 4

multiply eq2 with 5

20x-12y=68....eq3

20x+25y=105....eq4

subtract eq4-eq3

37y=37

y=1

substitute in eq1

5x-3=17

5x=20

x=4
