Equation (1),

5x + 3y = 53

Equation (2),

x = 6y + 4

Equating the value of "x" in equation in Equation (1), we get:

5(6y + 4) + 3y = 53

30y + 20 + 3y = 53

33y + 20 = 53

33y = 53 - 20

33y = 33

y =  \frac{33}{33}  = 1

x = 6y + 4

x = 6(1) + 4

x = 6 + 4 = 20
