5x-3y=8.....1eq

3x+y=2.......2eq

from eq 2,

3x+y=2

3x=2-y

x=2-y/3

by putting the value of x in eq. 1...

5(2-y/3)-3y=8

10-5y/3-3y=8

by taking L.C.M,

10-5y-9y/3=8

10-5y-9y=8*3

10-5y-9y=24

10-14y=24

-14y=24-10

-14y=14

y= -1   (put the value of y in eq. 1 )

5x-3y=8

5x-3(-1)=8

5x+3=8

5x=8-3

5x=5

x=1

hence, x=1 and y = -1

hope you understand...but if you still have any doubt please comment....
