5X + 3Y =8 & 4X -1Y = 18 FIND X & Y

5X+3Y=8-(1)

4X-1Y=18-(2)

solving linear pair equation by substitution

method,

therefore,

X=8-3Y/5-(3)

putting value of X in equation-(2),

4(8-3Y/5)-Y=18

Y=58/-17
