5x+3y=9..........(1)

2x-3y=12.........(2)

7x=21

x=21/7

x=3..........

putting value of x in eq.(1)

5x+3y=9

5(3)+3y=9

15+3y=9

3y=9-15

3y=(-6)

y= (-6)/3

y=(-3).........

the correct ans is x=3 and y= (-3)

2x-3y=12 ---------(2)

add- (1) & (2)

7x=21

x=3

putting the value of x =3 in (1) we get,

5(3)+3y=9

15+3y=9

3y=9-15-6

y= -2

thus, (x, y) = (3,-2)
