(5x-3y, y-3x) = (4, -4) find value of x and y​

Answer:

5x-3y = 4-(i)

y-3x = -4

or, -3x +y = -4 -(ii)

Multiply by 3 in equation (ii)

we get,

-9x +3y = - 12 -(iii)

Solve equation (i) & (iii)

then we get ,

-4x = -8

x = 2

Put the value of x in equation (i)

5(2) - 3y =4

10 -3y = 4

-3y = 4 - 10

-3y = -6

y = 2

y = 2
